Digital Fashion Pro - Technical Support Page

Technical and Customer Support: First read all of the help information below. If you have any questions or concerns after that, please E-mail Technical Support at: support@StartingAClothingLine.com. Technical Support via E-mail is free and generally addresses installation issues. After receiving your issue, we will decide the best way to solve your issue for you. Be sure to include your name, phone number, order number and when you ordered the software in your E-mail along with the problem you are experiencing. You must E-mail us to start the technical support process. We must have your request for technical support in writing so please follow this procedure. If you call you us - you will still be asked to submit a E-mail request for assistance - so please E-mail us. Please read this page in full!

What you will receive when you order Digital Fashion Pro

Put Upgrade CD’s in your computer - follow menu to install.

FYI: Digital Fabric Library DVD is a DVD so you will need a DVD compatible drive to install. This disc is installed by manually copying the entire folder from the disc to your hard drive. It is 4.8 GB so make sure you have the space.

FyI 2: Do not attempt to open any templates until you have installed every item on Digital Fashion Pro Disc 1 and followed training.

Installation Procedure:

Important: Turn off virus protector and firewall during installation!

Important: Do not try to open any template until you have installed every item on Disc 1 and 2 and watched training videos.

If you get an error message saying you need a program to continue - this means you haven’t installed every item on disc 1 and you are clicking on a icon or system file that may have been creating with another program. Ignore this message and immediately install every item located on the disc 1 menu. Then watch training video before trying to design or open any other items.

Keep Software CD’s in a safe place for future use.

--Step 1: Put Digital Fashion Pro Disc 2 in your CD Drive. The serial number to unlock software is on the white label that is located on the plastic wrap your DF-Pro was wrapped in. You will get a menu. Go down the menu from top to bottom and Click to Install each item. This will install Digital Fashion Pro Basic Templates and Fabric on your hard drive.

--Step 2: Put Digital Fashion Pro Disc 1 in your CD Drive. The serial number to unlock software is on the white label that is located on the plastic wrap your DF-Pro was wrapped in. Follow the order of the On Screen Menu. Install IS.48 Application. If you have Windows Operating System install Windows Version. If you have a Mac – install the version for Mac. You have two choices so install the one for your computer. Next, start reviewing all of tutorials (written and video).

Important Tip!!! When you get ready to watch the video tutorials in Windows Media Player – Make sure you have it in Full Screen Mode to achieve the best quality. Either choose this setting from the view menu at the top or hit the Full Screen Button located in bottom right corner of player as shown below.

Installation Problems and Troubleshooting

Issue 1: Autorun not working

--Step 1: Put Digital Fashion Pro Disc 2 in your CD Drive. If the CD does not autostart (meaning nothing happens when you put the disc in) – Go to my computer – Go in the disc drive with the disc. Once inside the disc – Copy the Digital Fashion Pro Basic V8 Folder to your hard drive. This is the only file you need to copy. Don't copy the zip file that reads Digital Fashion Pro - Copy the Folder with the name Digital Fashion Pro Basic V8.

--Step 2: Put Digital Fashion Pro Disc 1 in your CD Drive. If for some reason your Disc 1 won’t autorun and nothing comes up when you put the disc in – go to my computer – go inside the disc drive that has the disc, go inside the disc and manually click on IS.48.exe.

Still Having a Problem Installing: It could be your Virus Protector / Firewall:

Typically when a customer has a problem with installing more than one disc, it turns out that their virus protector / firewall settings are too high. To fix this problem, follow these steps: 1. Disable your virus protector by going into the settings of it and disable it. 2. Then try to install Digital Fashion Pro or the components that you were having a problem with. Step 3 if necessary: If you still have a problem, completely uninstall your virus protector. 4. Then try to install Digital Fashion Pro or the components that you were having a problem with. Following these steps should solve your problem. Once Digital Fashion Pro is installed, reactivate or reinstall your virus protector.

Problem Watching or Hearing Videos

If you are having a problem viewing the videos or with Video Sound, download Windows Media Player again even if you have the current version. Visit Windowsmediaplayer.com. If you have a MAC computer – you can download the Windows Media Player for Mac plug in for Quicktime from the same link as well. If you are still having trouble – download Real Player from RealPlayer.com.

Problem Printing Your Designs

Please refer to page 57 of your E-Training Guide on Disc 1. It guides you through printing. Make sure you follow all the settings exactly. Keep these points in mind:

• You have to make sure your design fits inside the 8 ½ by 11 box if that is what you are printing on. You may have to scale the design down as you are taught in E-training guide.

• Show Page Border so you know what is about to print.

• Make sure you are choosing the right print function: Vector or Bitmap
