Starting a clothing line is fun and exciting. The rewards from owning, operating and designing a successful clothing line can be quite substantial. The love of fashion is what gets us going but the business side of it deserve and commands just as much attention. The day we made that conscious decision that we were serious; we knew we needed to learn all we could about the fashion industry. We spent over $800 on books and read all kinds of free information posted on the web. None of these books or so called articles came even remotely close to what the next 5 years of our life would be like in the fashion industry. It has been a crazy but interesting ride to say the least.
Not to disrespect or discredit many of the fashion authors out there but most of them do not share our unique hands on experience in dealing with every aspect of the fashion industry. Our now worldwide clothing company was started with the money from the cookie jar. We have received write ups in fashion magazines, had our clothes worn by celebrities, and worked with various clothing manufacturers from all over the world.
